Privacy notice

Last updated: 27 October 2026

Skillscribe (Dubai, United Arab Emirates) runs the Home Learning Club. This notice explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. We collect as little as we can, never sell your information, and never use advertising or tracking cookies. We aim to handle personal data in line with the UAE Personal Data Protection Law (Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021).

What we collect

Why we use it

To create and protect your account, keep your child’s profile, prepare and deliver the weekly packs, mark work and give feedback on the plans that include it, take payments and keep tax records, answer your questions, and keep the service secure (for example, spotting unusual sign-ins or downloads).

Who helps us

We use a small number of trusted services: Cloudflare (hosting, our database, Quill’s AI and reading the text of our worksheets), Stripe (payments and invoices), Xero (our accounts: each payment is recorded there as an invoice with your name, email and the amount), Google (the enquiry form), WhatsApp (if you message us), and, if you switch notifications on, your browser’s push service (Apple, Google, Microsoft or Mozilla), which carries them to your device without being able to read them. They may process data outside the UAE, under their own security and privacy commitments. Each sees only what it needs.

How long we keep it

We keep your account while you are a member and for up to 12 months after it was last used with no plan running, then delete it. Payment and invoice records are kept for as long as UAE tax law requires (currently at least five years). If you delete your account, we remove your details straight away, except records we must keep by law.

Your choices and rights

Children

Accounts are for parents and guardians. We ask only for a child’s first name and learning details, and children do not create accounts.

Keeping it safe

Every connection is encrypted. Accounts are protected by passkeys, which can’t be guessed, reused or phished. Only Skillscribe’s owner, and the team members the owner authorises, can open Skillscribe’s private management tools: each signs in with a passkey and a code from an authenticator app, sees only what their role needs, and every sign-in and important action is logged.

Changes

If we change this notice, we’ll update the date above and tell members about anything important.
